Prof. Dr. Hoda Tawfik worked as Vice President R&D/Medical Affairs at MagForce AG since May 2011. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs with CROs (Contract Research Organizations) as well as in the pharma/biotech industry. Before joining MagForce she worked at Medigene AG where she was the Head of Global Clinical Operations Department and Medical Affairs for nine years. Hoda Tawfik completed her studies in pharmacy at the University of Cairo, and subsequently obtained her PhD in pharmacology and toxicology at the Universität Düsseldorf. Afterwards she worked in the pharmacological research in the universities of Cairo, Heidelberg and Munich. In parallel, she experienced her activities as professor of pharmacology at the University of Cairo.

Hoda Tawfik has profound expertise in managing research and development programs and is able to access a vast, international network among medical and oncological experts. Since she joined MagForce AG, she has been able to build a recognized team of experts at the site in Martinsried (Munich). One of her key objectives is to improve the medical-scientific acceptance of NanoTherm® therapy within the network of oncological experts. Hoda Tawfik is the interface between the company and the scientific, medical key opinion leaders in the oncology field worldwide.

Christian von Volkmann, CFO und co-CEO

Christian von Volkmann has more than 14 years of international experience in corporate finance/capital market transactions, group structuring and M&A. In his position at Jerini AG (Berlin, Germany), which he joined in 2004 as Director of Finance, he led the finance department through the IPO process in 2005 and later on as Vice President of Finance during the acquisition of Shire plc. in July 2008. He significantly contributed to the corporate and tax structuring of Jerini Group. As Chief Financial Officer he was subsequently responsible for the corporate restructuring and the compensation of the minority shareholders completed post acquisition integration. in 2010. After this Christian von Volkmann founded and headed Berlin-based CMaP Financial Consulting, a corporate and project consultancy focusing on legal disclosure, stock exchange listing requirements, plus strategic and operational management consultancy.

Prior to his position at Jerini, Christian von Volkmann worked at the auditing company Ernst & Young for six years. He holds a diploma of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where he studied business administration with a focus on taxation, audit and consultancy as well as bank administration and Corporate Finance. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the US.
