Advancing nanomedicine into cancer therapy

Every year, more than 10 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer for the first time. The World Health Organization estimates that 15.7 million people will be diagnosed with cancer in the year 2020, meaning the rate of new cases will increase by 50 percent in the next 15 years as the steadily aging population becomes increasingly susceptible to cancer.

NanoTherm® therapy

After the presence of a tumor is determined, one of the three standard treatments is generally applied, either alone or in combination: Surgery, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy. The last two types of therapy in particular are accompanied by severe side effects which greatly impact the patient’s quality of life.

MagForce’s vision is to establish NanoTherm® therapy as an additional pillar to today’s three standard treatments.

Due to the good tolerability and possibility to repeat the therapy as often as desired, NanoTherm® therapy could be used as an adjuvant in combination with standard therapies.
