Norbert Neef (ChairMan of the Supervisory Board)
Norbert Neef is a founder and partner of Neef Legal Attornies, specializing in legal services for private equity, venture capital, and mergers & acquisitions. The law firm represents leading private equity funds and their investments, particularly in the areas of media and nanotechnology. Attorney Neef began his career at leading international law firms and subsequently became in house counsel and specialist for structured financing in various companies. Mr. Neef serves on the advisory boards of several private companies and was most recently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mood and Motion AG. Furthermore, he served for 10 years as a lecturer of corporate law at the University of Applied Science of Cologne and has recently begun teaching at the University of Applied Science Fresenius.
Dr. jan zur hausen
Dr. Jan zur Hausen (born in 1965) is a managing shareholder of Bergmann zur Hausen & Cie. GmbH, a corporate finance company that evolved from Sal. Oppenheim’s investment banking activities. While at Sal. Oppenheim, Dr. zur Hausen was responsible for numerous transactions in the life sciences area as Senior Vice President and Head of Healthcare.
Dr. zur Hausen has in-depth knowledge of health sciences and investment banking. He has a degree in biology, gained a Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Basel, and previously worked at Hoffmann-La Roche, MPM Capital, Mulligan BioCapital, and DVC Deutsche Venture Capital, among others.
Bernd Förtsch
For almost twenty years, Berndt Förtsch has been active in the media and finance branches. He is the owner and CEO of Börsenmedien AG, whose magazines include Der Aktionär (The Shareholder). In the media sector, his company owns the DAF Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen AG (The German Investor Television), whose primary focus is stock market activities. Bernd Förtsch recognized early on the enormous potential of nanotechnology. At the end of 2003, he founded Nanostart AG, which became a public company in the summer of 2005, and he remains their main shareholder. Furthermore, in 2006 he founded the Online-Broker, flatex, which went public in 2009.
